Module Description: |
This module concentrates on entire and efficient workflow in digital photography and video. Students are required to develop effective photography and video skills and efficient working practices through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production. |
Learning Outcomes |
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to: |
LO1 |
demonstrate effective photographic media skills and an efficient workflow through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production. |
LO2 |
formulate an effective shooting plan outlining how the photography and/or video project will be managed. |
LO3 |
create a series of still and moving digital images in response to selected issues, themes and/or subjects. |
LO4 |
use a range of software in post processing effectively and flexibly. |
LO5 |
present a well structured portfolio. |

Pre-production
Developing visual research skills. Identifying starting points, themes, issues and/or subject matter.
Planning a shoot - generating a shooting plan and resourcing the project.

Capturing images - composition, line, framing, form, space, colour, light texture.

Post-Production
Image Editing and Processing. Use of photo and video editing software.

Presentation
Selecting and presenting still and moving images. Portfolio preparation and presentation. Alternative presentations - ePortfolios
