Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Demonstrate a technical and physical understanding of the techniques of the dance forms and how they relate to musical theatre.
LO2 Exhibit a practical understanding of dance vocabularies, styles and skills
LO3 Effectively communicate through dance in a theatrical environment
LO4 Work within the context of healthy, safe and sustainable dance practice.
LO5 Explain key choreographer's and practitioner's methods, practices from a historical and or cultural context

Indicative Content
Dance Technique
Dance Technique: Students will be taught exercises to develop stamina, strength, mobility, control, isolation work, pirouettes, steps of elevation and travel.
Practical Skills
The student will be introduced to the development of routines and combinations in a variety of styles.
Physical Skills
Enable students to acquire versatility in their physical skills and integrate their knowledge across all musical theatre disciplines.
