Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Conceive and design a simple stage set
LO2 Exhibit basic construction skills
LO3 Observe Health & Safety procedures relating to stagecrafts
LO4 Recognise and describe materials used in stage sets and their properties
LO5 Fabricate simple theatrical props

Basic Carpentry & Painting Skills
Design
Function, integration with other design elements - lighting & costuming, access, load-bearing characteristics, moving and flying, trucks
Props
Fabrication and painting
Technical Drawing & Model Making
Detailed plans specifying materials and exact dimensions. Scale Modelling.
