Module Description: This module provides the student with an understanding of modern Construction Production methods, and of the systems and procedures that are used to control Construction projects.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Evaluate alternative Construction Project control systems for use in varying situations.
LO2 Plan and control construction projects using advanced project management software.
LO3 Evaluate different Construction Production methods and systems.
LO4 Evaluate the effectiveness of different Construction Production methods in alternative situations.

Evaluation of alternative Construction programming systems, the role of the Construction Planner within the Construction Process,Meausuring Construction Productivity.
Project Information Systems ( Productivity)
Project progress monitoring systems, progress feedback mechanisms, progress recording, reporting and presentation.
Project Information Systems ( Financial )
Cost value reconciliation systems, design variation control procedures,Project financial reports and their presentation.
Project Information Systems ( Design )
Design team relationships, Design team communication systems, evolution of design information, recording, disseminating, controling and presenting design change.
Advanced computerised project controls
Using Primavera P6 project management software, and advanced application of Microsoft Project software, and Navisworks and syncro BIM software
