Module Description: The module aims to develop an understanding of the development of organisation management and knowledge management theories and techniques and their practical application in dynamic business environments.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Explain the evolution of organisation and management theories.
LO2 Critically assess the practical application of organisation and management theories in the modern business environment.
LO3 Describe and critically discuss knowledge management models.
LO4 Analyse the application of knowledge management techniques in the design and construction process.
LO5 Debate the concept of Organisation Management and Knowledge Management in the context of the development of buildings.

Organisation management in modern practice. The design of organisations to match the situation and/or environment.
Development of Knowledge Management
The development of Knowledge Management models, tools and techniques.
Knowledge Management in practice
The application of Knowledge Management to business and project environments. The knowledge sharing culture. Knowledge Management and innovation, including contemporary information technology and devices. Document management
