Module Description: This module explores the development of vocal pedagogy over the past twenty years focusing on Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) teaching methodologies and approaches, stylistic awareness and basic voice science.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Investigate the roles expected of contemporary singers
LO2 Recognise key laryngeal structures and demonstrate an understanding of basic voice science
LO3 Examine Contemporary Commerical Music (CCM) vocal techniques and style
LO4 Design and implement lesson plans suitable for both an individual and a group of CCM singers
LO5 Demonstrate effective vocal pedagogy strategies
