Module Description: The module aims to equip students with data manipulation tools to assist with decision making in business.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Analyse techniques for collecting and presenting business data.
LO2 Manipulate economic functions using microsoft excel to present and interpret data.
LO3 Forecast trend values using time series analysis.
LO4 Calculate and interpret various investment appraisal techniques.

Data Manipulation
Manipulate demand and consumption functions using microsoft excel and data visualisation.
Business Forecasting
Analyse sales trends, prices and indices using microsoft excel and data visualisation.
Investment Appraisal Methods
Discounting and present values net present values and internal rate of return.
