Module Description: This is the terminal module of the singing track of this course and is focused on a final solo recital with piano accompaniment of a devised programme of musical theatre songs
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Perform publicly in a solo recital
LO2 Devise, in collaboration with a mentor, a personal showcase of musical theatre songs
LO3 Display a range of vocal styles and techniques
LO4 Employ sophisticated stagecraft in 'acting through song'
LO5 Reflect on process and achievement

Movement, gesture, characterisation, embodiment. Costume and make-up
Performance Skills
Projection, engagement with the audience, acting through song, finding the performing 'moment'
Working as an effective and sensitive duo partner with a pianist
Reflective Practice
Reflection on preparation for devised performance by weekly submission of student blog
