Module Description: This module requires the student to exhibit a high standard of performance in a range of singing styles, from classical voice to belt pop and rock.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Display a 'Legit' voice - a bel canto approach to flexible rich classical style, appropriate for quasi-operatic musicals such as West-side Story or the work of Richard Rogers
LO2 Demonstrate the ability to belt in a popular style, appropriate for many styles from 1960 onward
LO3 Choose from a wide range of repertoire, suitable for their individual voice
LO4 Sing with technical accomplishment a representative number of songs in a variety of styles with an appropriate display of 'acting through song'
LO5 Reflect on learning and practice
