Module Description: Preparation and public performance of a substantial instrumental/vocal recital of approximately 40 minutes, or a major concerto displaying a mature interpretation and stylistic delivery. Expanding on the student’s repertory, it emphasises the realisation of artistic concepts, confident instrumental delivery and an advanced musical understanding.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Formulate a coherent recital programme or complete concerto demonstrating an appropriate range of technical and musical challenges
LO2 Accomplish artistic objectives based on well-developed command of the instrument having ample comprehension of the music selected
LO3 Demonstrate an individual musical personality and an ability to engage with the audience at a cognitive and aesthetic level
LO4 Employ highly evolved listening ability and interact in recital partnership, as appropriate
LO5 Document and promote his/her public recital using multimedia technology
