Module Description: This module provides progressive instrumental instruction appropriate to the learner's level of ability, developing necessary skills to integrate technical fluency and imaginative aspects of expression
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Undertake a range of challenges with ease through application of appropriate technical and creative competences
LO2 Display a mature tone of refined quality and expression in performance
LO3 Show evidence of self awareness in practice and performance
LO4 Show ability and accuracy in playing a Quick study/Orchestral excerpt(s) appropriate for his/her instrument
LO5 Exhibit proficiency and flair in delivering an unprepared piece at sight

A programme of advancing essential technical and musical skills
A distinct programme of essential instrumental/vocal skills cultivating the ability to identify strengths in playing and to select appropriate strategies for specific performance tasks. It consists of advanced Instrumental/Vocal studies, etudes or caprices, Quick study/Orchestral excerpts, advanced Sight-Reading, Solo/Accompanied repertory extending the range of composers/styles
