This module aims to develop students' knowledge and understanding of the processes and challenges of creating sustaining and growing new ventures. |
| Learning Outcomes |
| On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to: |
| LO1 |
Differentiate between Entrepreneurs, Intrapreneurs, Owner-Managers, Inventors and Innovators and critically evaluate the principal characteristics of a typical Entrepreneur. |
| LO2 |
Critically assess the actions required by the Entrepreneur or Entrepreneurial team in converting a concept into a new venture. |
| LO3 |
Describe the relationship between new venture inception strategy and future growth and development strategy. |
| LO4 |
Critically assess the key challenges and risk stages in sustaining a new venture and evaluate the primary causes of New Venture failure. |
| LO5 |
Critically evaluate components of small Business Management and the processes of Enterprise Growth. |
| LO6 |
Undertake sufficient exploratory research to determine and gain approval for an appropiate research area/project statement in the areas of New Venture & Growth. |
