Module Description: The purpose of this module is to analyse the tasks and processes involved in supply chain optimisation and identify any potential improvements to processes to create a lean supply chain.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Describe the responsibilities and tasks of supply chain management.
LO2 Determine the optimum strategies for maintaining successful relationships with suppliers and customers.
LO3 Analyse lean operations in a multi sector environment.
LO4 Identify the position of supply chain management in the business policy context of an organisation using integrated information systems.

Information Management
Information technology in supply chains; management information systems; traditional legacy systems and sophisicated enterprise resource planning systems; case analysis; information technology as enabler of supply chain integration; ecommerce
