Description:A module in advanced scoring for Symphonic Wind Ensemble OR full Symphony Orchestra OR both. This module will be taught to small groups, typically 6. In the case of over-enrolment, selection procedures will apply
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to
  1. Deal with the transpositions and musical roles of the various instruments of the chosen ensemble(s)
  2. Construct varied and balanced textures and use them creatively in structural sequence
  3. Create a mapped analysis of the scoring of an item for Wind Ensemble and/or Symphony Orchestra
  4. Score an item for Wind Ensemble and/or Symphony Orchestra using Sibelius notation software
  5. Work smoothly towards a deadline with time for multiple revisions
