Programme Outcomes

On successful completion of this programme the learner will be able to :

PO1Knowledge - BreadthA specialised knowledge of graphic design practice and theory, and of relevant areas including typography, photography, illustration, creative technology, printing, graphic reproduction and visual culture.
PO2Knowledge - KindUnderstanding of current professional design practice, and the ability to critique it and situate it in a broader contemporary and historical context.
PO3Skill - RangeThe ability to research, critically evaluate and analyse both visual and text-based information, and to apply practical, technical and conceptual skills in the production and presentation of creative and individual solutions to design problems.
PO4Skill - SelectivityThe ability to make appropriate judgements in relation to working through and/or supervising the design process, and to generate solutions within a specified framework. The ability to adapt and employ new procedures with the introduction of new technologies, and to make decisions informed by relevant ethical and safety standards.
